Hutchinson man charged in Domestic Violence case.

A 21-year-old Hutchinson man was in court Tuesday on charges of aggravated battery and aggravated endangerment of a child.

Terry Gant of 509 East A is alleged to have battered a Hutchinson woman at her home here in the city using a baseball bat. She sustained injuries as a result.

There was also a 9-month-old child present at the time leading to the state adding the endangerment charge.

The incident occurring back on August 6, 2011.

He was in court Tuesday morning for the reading of the complaint where he argued for a reduction of bond which was denied by Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen. That set Gant off where he then used foul language against the judge and Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson. Bond was left at 65-thousand, but he is being held on other matters including a probation violation for forgery and making a false writing.

Gant will be back in court on September 21st, for a waiver-status hearing.
