The 41-year-old man who allegedly struck another man causing one of his legs to be amputated while riding his motorcycle back on May 12, was in court Tuesday to hear the formal charges against him.
Robby Heironimus is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, felony failure to report an accident, driving while suspended, failing to give info, and illegal display.
Heironimus of 304 E Carpenter was riding a Silver 2005 Honda VTX 1100 CC, left the sceneof the accident after striking 26-year-old Jeffrey Nusser as he attempted to cross Main St., at 19th in Hutchinson. He was taken by air-ambulance to Via Cristi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita for trauma to his right leg resulting in the amputation below the knee.
With the charges filed, the case will now be placed on a waiver-status docket on July 17.
