A 23-year-old Hutchinson man was in court Monday for the formal reading of charges associated with financial crimes.
Melvin Zahn Jr., is charged with two counts of making false information, forgery and theft by deception.
He’s alleged to have distributed two checks that is not what it purports to be with what the state says was meant to defraud. The third charge alleges forged a check that belonged to another man which deprived him of nearly 650-dollars.
The alleged crimes occurring in September and October is this year.
With the formal charges filed, his case moves to a waiver-status docket in front of Judge Joe McCarville.
