BARBER COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Barber County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Dodge Ram driven by Matthew Byard, 28, Hutchinson, was eastbound on Kansas 2 just south of Gerlane Road.

The pickup left the roadway and entered the east ditch. The driver attempted to maneuver back onto the road, lost control and the pickup overturned.

EMS transported Byard to the Kiowa County Hospital. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
