A 36-year-old Hutchinson man made a first appearance in District Court this morning on charges of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and public intoxication.

Derrick Lemanski of 10 North Elm was arrested in the 300 block of North Waldron after 18-year-old Taylor Schmidt reported that a white male had damaged his 2000 Jeep at that location.

In Court, Lemanski was able to get Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen to lower the bond from 10-thousand 600, to 8-thousand.

He is expected back in court next Wednesday for a status hearing to see of formal charges are filed.
