Hutchinson Police have ruled out any foul play involving the discovery of a body in Hutchinson on Thursday.
The deceased was identified Friday as 59-year-old Thomas Wayne Teaney Sr. He was found in the bedroom of his apartment at 507 East 3rd. They now believe he died of natural causes, and that initial report from the autopsy indicates that he had no wounds that would indicate any foul play such as gun shot or stab wounds. It appears he had been there deceased for as much as five days.
Police Lt. Marty Robertson says they took precautions in their investigation because of the way the body was found, but didn’t elaborate. Teaney had a history of health issues according to Robertson.
His body was moved to the Sedgwick County Forensic Science Center for an autopsy, and again, it appears he died of natural causes, although the exact cause has not been released.
