HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The local hospital system will host a come-and-go Fit 4 Kids event scheduled for after school, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, August 26 at the Pavilion, a conference center located adjacent to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
Tom Borrego, J.D., Vice President of the Hutchinson Regional Medical Foundation, said Reno County elementary and junior high school students are invited to participate in the two hour event.
Booth and display exhibits will be set up to highlight a number of preventive issues including: healthy eating, hand washing, mental health, and physical fitness.
Representatives of the Reno County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) will be available to answer questions. An EMS ambulance will be on site for tours.
Also, depending upon its availability, the Life Team helicopter which is headquartered at Hutchinson Regional for transporting trauma patients to area hospitals, will be available for tours.
Borrego said there is no charge for attending and advance reservations are not required.
