HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The USD 308 School Board will have a meeting Monday at the administration building on North Plum.
Some of the highlights of the meeting include a new salary schedule for classified and administration positions.
The new schedules will result in an average increase of approximately 4.5% and the cost will increase about the same over the 2018-19 costs.
The board will also consider meal price changes for students for the coming school year. Breakfast meals will be $1.40 for all grades. Lunch will be $2.35 for elementary students, $2.50 for middle school students and $2.70 for those who attend Hutchinson High School.
McCandless, Lincoln and Faris students will remain on the Community Eligibility Program where students receive a breakfast and lunch at no charge.
As for adults, they are recommending a price of $2.20 for breakfast and $3.75 for lunch.
The board will also consider the purchase of a 2019-2020 van from Midway Motors at a cost of $25,272. This purchase would allow the district to declare a district-owned car as surplus. Should the board approve the purchase, it would be delivered in 90 to 120 days.
The Hutchinson School Board meeting begins at 6 p.m.
