The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce announced the selection of Jason Ball as the organization’s next President/CEO.

“Jason brings diverse knowledge with a strong economic development background to the Chamber. We are looking forward to fresh leadership and focus on our expanding membership services, growing tourism and visitor industry, and new community development initiatives in Hutchinson and Reno County,” said Lowell Peachey, Chamber Board Chairman. “I know he will continue the Chamber’s mission for the organization to serve as a catalyst for a prosperous business climate in Reno County.”

Ball, and his wife Sandy, will relocate from Lincoln, Nebraska, where he served as Director of Business Development for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce/Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development for over four years. He has recently attained the CEcD designation (certified economic/community development) from the International Economic Development Council, and is a graduate of University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. Ball received a BA degree in Chemistry from Nebraska Wesleyan University and MBA degree from University of Nebraska.

Jason Ball brings experience, enthusiasm and energy that will prove to be invaluable in our community. His work to attract and retain businesses within the Lincoln, Nebraska area gives him the experience we are looking for to head our Chamber and economic development efforts. Ball also brings a breadth of understanding supporting small business development, a key component of the business makeup of Hutchinson and Reno County.”

Ball will assume his duties at the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce in December of 2012. He will succeed Jon Daveline, who has served as the Chamber’s interim president since April 2012.
