TOPEKA – Two Arizona residents arrested in Shawnee County, Kan., have been indicted on charges of possession with intent to distribute 109 pounds of cocaine, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said today.
48-year-old Juan Luis Diaz, and 50-year-old Rosa Amelia R. Gomez, 50, both of Casa Grande, Ariz., are charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine. The crime is alleged to have occurred Feb. 2, 2012, in Shawnee CountyZ.
If convicted, they face a penalty of not less than 10 years and not more than life in federal prison and a fine up to $10 million.
