TOPEKA – A 21-year-old Manhattan man has been indicted on a charge of soliciting an undercover law enforcement officer to rob a Manhattan business.
Colin Michael Johansen is charged with one count of solicitation to commit robbery. The indictment alleges Johansen tried to persuade an undercover officer identified as B.J. to rob the American Cash Exchange at 501 Ft. Riley Boulevard in Manhattan.
The crime is alleged to have occurred from Nov. 8 to Nov. 10, 2011, in Riley County, Kan.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years and a fine up to $250,000.
