HUTCHINSON, Kan.- The #3 seed Seward County Saints defeated the #2 seed and defending National Champion Miami Date Sharks 3 sets to 2 in a barn burner Friday night at the Sports Arena to punch their ticket into the title game versus the #1 seed and #1 ranked Navarro Bulldogs on Saturday night at 6:30 pm at the Sports Arena.

Seward led 2 sets to 0, bur Miami Dade found a way to push the match to 5 sets in a thrilling semi-final win 25-20, 25-18, 21-25, 22-25, 15-8.

#1 Navarro College had no problem with #5 seed Polk State winning in 3 sets 25-10, 25-18 and  25-18.

Seward County will play for a National Championship for the first time in its program’s history.
