HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salt City Half Marathon is approaching. With it, comes a special fundraiser. It’s called Judy’s Mile. The annual one-mile race is set for Saturday, Oct. 6.

The fun run and walk carries the namesake of the late Judy McCool, a Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson supporter and former board member. Judy’s Mile is held in conjunction with the Salt City Half Marathon weekend. The race starts at 10:30 a.m. at 1701 N. Main and will finish in downtown Hutchinson with the half marathon finishers.

Registration is $20 for adults. Youth entries this year are free thanks to a donation from PrairieStar Health Center. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, but availability may be limited. To guarantee a shirt size, participants are encouraged to register by Sept. 21.
