HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The all-female jury in a robbery case from 2015 found the defendant guilty as charged.

The jury resumed deliberations at 1 p.m. Thursday in the case against Jerry Anderson Jr. The jury deliberated a little over six hours after hearing closing arguments from both the state and the defense.

Anderson now faces sentencing for a charge of aggravated robbery. He walked into LoanMax Title Loans on May 4, 2015, and demanded money at gunpoint. According to the state, he got away with about $1,400.

After the verdict, District Attorney Keith Schroeder noted that the initial bond in the case was only $10,000. He requested the bond be increased at least $100,000. Judge Trish Rose agreed and increased the bond.

She also set sentencing for July 20 at 8:30 a.m.

It has also been confrimed that the federal charge against Anderson has been dismissed. He was accused of entering the Meritrust Credit Union at 2900 S. Oliver in Wichita and robbing them of approximately $3,100.

The U.S. Attorney’s office filed the motion on June 1. The judge agreed to dismiss without prejudice, meaning they could refile and seek another indictment at some point in the future.
