A 26-year-old Hutchinson man was found guilty of aggravated battery by a Reno County jury Wednesday afternoon.

Oscar Perez is now guilty of injuring David Boshart during an altercation back on May 29, of last year. He bumped him with his vehicle causing injury according to the state.

The jury got the case about 10:15 a-m Wednesday and had a verdict early in the afternoon.

Perez is the boyfriend of Brigit Hippen who is also charged with battery and criminal damage for a case occurring the same night as this one. She was sentenced to 36-months community corrections for a conviction of involuntary manslaughter in another case where she placed blow dryer near her infant child and the child died as a result.

Sentencing in the case is set for March 23m in front of Judge Tim Chambers.
