SEVERY, Kan.- A Kansas woman died in an accident just before 5 p.m. on New Year’s Day in Greenwood County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ford Escape driven by Quincy Foster, 20, Olathe, was westbound on U.S. 400 just west of X Road.

The driver lost control of the vehicle on the icy road. It crossed the centerline and struck a semi on the eastbound shoulder.

Foster was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Frontier Forensics.
The semi driver Bonnie Teehee, 55, Savannah, Mo., and a passenger were not injured.

The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
