OAKLEY -Law enforcement authorities contained a domestic situation on the south side of Oakley on Friday, according to a media release from the Logan County Attorney’s office.

Several police agencies, including a Special Response team from Hays were dispatched to the Oakley area early Friday morning after reports of a barricaded subject.

Law enforcement authorities used the Kansas Department of Transportation facility at Old U.S. 40 and U.S. 83 as a staging area.

No charges have been filed and no further details on the situation are available, according to the Logan County Attorney.
