Kansas Highway Patrol seeks public’s help over deceased male on the Kansas Turnpike

WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Highway Patrol’s Troop G, assigned to the Kansas Turnpike, is asking the public’s help pertaining to the incident on I-35 along the turnpike south of Emporia.

On September 8, 7:30 a.m., KTA maintenance crews located a deceased male on the southbound side of I-35, the Kansas Turnpike at mile marker 113.8.

Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was killed after being struck by a vehicle at this location. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is assisting the Kansas Highway Patrol as the investigation continues.

Anyone that may have seen anything or has any information on this case, is asked to contact the Kansas Highway Patrol Troop G through the Turnpike’s Incident Management Center at 316-652-2611.
