GARDEN CITY- One person injured in an accident just before 5 p.m. on Friday in Finney County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Subaru driven by Thomas J. Cox, 23, Dighton, was traveling westbound on Kansas 156 five miles east of Garden City.

The Subaru attempted to complete a u-turn at the intersection on Towns Road in front of a westbound 2014 Chevy pickup driven by Aurel Danciu, 31, Garden City. The truck struck the Subaru on the driver’s side.

Cox was transported to St. Cathrine’s Hospital.  Danciu, from Romania and working in Garden City, was possibly injured.  The KHP report does not indicate where he was treated.

The KHP reported Cox was not wearing a seat belt.
