MEADE COUNTY, Kan. – A 56-year-old Ashland man was killed in a roll-over accident late Wednesday night in Meade County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Calvin Dean McGonigle was south bound on K-23 and blew a tire, then lost control of his SUV. His vehicle entered a ditch, started to roll and then entered a culvert and ended up on his top.

He was taken to the Western Plains Medical Complex where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident.
