HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Kansas State Fair will hold an official ribbon-cutting for the new gate located at the northeast ends of the fairgrounds Friday morning.
Gate number eight recently underwent a full renovation, which includes one of two entryways onto the fairgrounds via the new bike path.
The path runs from gate eight around the north side of the grandstand complex and then west on Cottonwood Avenue before exiting out of the fairground between the two Cottonwood buildings along Main Street. The gate also includes a new digital information sign similar to the one along Main Street.
The ribbon-cutting begins at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.
