ATWOOD, Kan- A Kansas woman was injured in an accident just before 9:30 a.m. on Monday in Rawlins County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Honda Accord driven by Marla K. Reinert, 56, Atwood, was southbound on Kansas 25 ten miles south of Atwood. The car moved to the right edge of the roadway appearing to pull over or turn right.

A 1999 Kenworth semi-truck driven by Tal Joseph Earl, 27, Logan, moved into the northbound lane to go around the Honda.  The Honda started to turn left onto County Road H.

The semi-truck struck Honda in the right rear bumper. The Honda  came to rest facing east on County Road H.

Reinert was transported to Rawlins County Hospital.

Earl was not injured.

The KHP reported both were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
