TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Transportation recently announced bids to be let on Sept. 21 for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas. The letting will take place in the Eisenhower State Office Building in Topeka at 1 p.m.

That includes a portion of the K-61 project in McPherson County from the Reno/McPherson county line northeast to .2 mile northeast of Chisholm Road, 7.4 miles, seeding and is using federal stimulus funds.

Then also for the same project in McPherson County, K-61 from .2-miles northeast of Chisholm Road northeast to the 4-lane south of McPherson, which is about 7- miles, seeding, and again using federal funds.

In Kingman county, it includes U-S 54, from the Pratt – Kingman county line east for 5.82 miles, seeding and uses federal funds.

In Reno County, a bridge will be repaired on K-17 about 7.66 miles north of the Kingman County line, using state funds.
