HUTCHINSON, Kan. — One of two men arrested Friday morning on drug-related charges was in court Monday for the formal reading of charges.

Twenty-five-year-old Sheridan M. Kiraly faces possible charges of possession of methamphetamine, felony interference, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Forty-seven-year-old Bruce Dutton was also arrested and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute and personal use drug paraphernalia.

Officers were called to the 3100 block of Sierra Parkway on the report of possible gunshots being fired. They located a green GMC truck with two men inside. As they approached the vehicle and made contact, they could smell marijuana. They pulled Kiraly from the vehicle. He gave a fake name of Bradley Kiraly from Newton. Officials later learned his real name was Sheridan and that he had a Sheriff’s Department warrant. That led to the search of the vehicle where they found the drugs and paraphernalia.

Kiraly has a bond of $7,500. Dutton posted bond and should appear in court at a later date.
