HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 34-year-old man with a previous conviction for the sale of drugs was back in court Thursday for the formal reading of charges in a new case.

Christopher Krebbs was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

The case began with drug enforcement officers surveilling him on Jan. 10.

Officers followed him to Wichita where he allegedly bought a large quantity of methamphetamine.

Once Krebbs was back in Reno County, officers performed a traffic stop on K-96 at Worthington Road. They searched the vehicle and found a bundle in the glove compartment, several burnt marijuana cigarettes, two glass pipes and a Taurus 40-caliber handgun.

Total weight of the meth discovered was around one pound.

With formal charges filed, his case now moves to a waiver-status docket.
