TURON, Kan. – A Douglas County man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in far southwest Reno County over the weekend.

Reno County EMS and the sheriffs department responded to an area south of Turon around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, and found a car up against a utility pole along South Brownlee Road. Emergency personnel had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver who was pronounced dead at the scene.

He has been identified at 52-year-old Daniel Clouse of Lawrence.
