Little River man jailed on cultivation and weapons charges

LYONS, Kan. — A 49-year-old Little River area man has been arrested and jailed in the Rice County Detention Center on suspicion of cultivation of a controlled substance and criminal use of a weapon.

The arrest of Ronald Zolman coming after the Rice County Drug Task Force discovered the growing operation while investigating an unrelated crime.

According to their facebook page, over 110 marijuana plants were seized on Feb. 9, at the scene of an indoor marijuana grow site in the northeastern part of the county.

The criminal use of a weapon charge comes for allegedly having an illegally modified firearm.

Bond in the case is set at $300,000.
