The owner of a local business was taken to jail Tuesday evening on charges associated with drugs.

35-year-old Jason Hadley of 1227 W. 19th, owner of Caribbean Tan in Hutchinson is free on a 29-thousand dollar bond for allegedly being in possession of steroids, methamphetamine, and prescription pills, as well as no tax stamp and failing to appear in another case. Detective Shawn McClay says they found the steroids, a half ounce of ice methamphetamine, and some prescription drugs.

Hadley was arrested after a search was served on him by detectives at an apartment at 2900 Acres Road, Apartment 121. That is apparently the apartment of his girlfriend, however she was not charged in the case.

McClay says the search was part of an on-going investigation and led to the arrest. They also believe there may have been some drug activity at the tanning business at 2803 North Lorraine, after hours.

Hadley was also arrested for failing to appear in a traffic case for driving left of center.

With Hadley free on bond, he should make an appearance in court sometime next week.
