HUTCHINSON, Kan. – A 23 -year-old Hutchinson man who was jailed on a number of charges after he was arrested back on Saturday, Oct, 18, was back before a judge Monday morning for the reading of formal charges.

Dakota C. Shrader is now charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

He reportedly threatened officers with a knife in the 300 block of West 5th. They tased him three times to get him to cooperate and according to Assistant District Attorney Andrew Davidson, he still continued to struggle with them.

He’s jailed on a bond of $10,100 and with the charges filed, the case now moves to a waiver-status docket on Nov. 18.
