HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Shirley Power has a fundraiser that runs through April. She is collecting shoes to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Power will earn funds for St. Jude based on total weight of the shoes collected through funds2orgs.com, who will then write a check to St. Jude. Those shoes will be distributed through the funds2orgs network of enterprise partners.

Power is asking residents to donate gently-worn or new shoes for this effort. Power is excited about the shoe drive and said she knows most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate. She calls it a “win-win” for everyone.
