ELLINWOOD – A 56-year-old Lyons woman was injured in a one vehicle accident in Barton County on Monday.

Taken to a Great Bend hospital was Cynthia Glass who was apparently traveling west bound on U-S 56 highway when the crash occurred.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, for an unknown reason, she left the roadway into the north ditch where her SUV overturned 3-to-4 times.

She was wearing a seatbelt which saved her from more serious injuries, but was still taken to a hospital in Great Bend.

The accident occurring about 6:15 p-m Monday on the east edge of Ellinwood.
