A 20-year-old Wichita man arrested here in Reno County twice for distribution of marijuana was back in court Thursday where he entered pleas in both cases as charged.

Garrett Ketley is now guilty of possession of marijuana with intent to sell within a thousand feet of Yoder school and no drug tax stamp. He was in the passenger seat of a vehicle which was stopped in the 10-thousand block of South Yoder Road where around 241-grams of marijuana was allegedly located in the vehicle. The pot was reportedly under the seat and Ketley told detectives that the pot was his and that he was intending to sell it. This occurring back in May.

Ketley in the other case is guilty for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, no tax stamp and possession of marijuana. This arrest coming back in April and in this case, he allegedly had 7-pounds of marijuana. They were allegedly in two duffel bags in the vehicle he was in.

He also has a warrant from Harvey County for distribution of marijuana where he allegedly had a half pound of marijuana.

It’s believed that he may have been taking trips to Colorado and purchasing the pot and bringing it back to Kansas. As you may have heard, Colorado now has a set of laws to regulate and tax recreational marijuana. The laws cover how marijuana should be grown, packaged and sold.

Bond in the cases is set at 156-thousand, 500-dollars and sentencing in the case is set for August 23.
