Man Convicted In Robbery Case Granted Corrections

One of two Hutchinson men arrested in the early morning hours of March 30, after allegedly taking a bag of cash from an employee of the Dickinson Theaters at 1500 East 11th, was sentenced Friday Afternoon. .

26-year-old Robert Raigoza Jr., was granted 36-months community corrections on a 32-month underlying sentence after he entered a “guilty” plea to the robbery charge against him. Both sides recommended the probation.

The case against a co-defendant, Preston Riagoza will move back to the waiver-status docket next Wednesday, also in front of Judge Joe McCarville.

The robbery allegedly occurring while an employee was at Central Bank & Trust at 1330 East 17th. The two were arrested in the 2100 block of North Lorraine, early on a Saturday morning. The incident reported to police around 12:40 a-m.
