NEWTON COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Saturday in Newton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Randall S. Fields, Eureka Springs, AR., was northbound on Route O two miles north of Stella.

The driver failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle left the road and orverturned.

Fields was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to Parker Mortuary. He was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
