Man enters plea as charged in child sex case

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A man charged with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child entered a plea as charged.

Twenty-two-year-old Adam Bryant Miller is now guilty of molesting two children ages 11 and 14. The alleged crimes occurred in 2016.

Technically, one of the charges falls under Jessica’s Law, meaning he could receive a 25 year to life sentence. However, District Attorney Keith Schroeder agreed to recommend Miller be sentenced to a lesser level one felony — meaning he wouldn’t receive the life sentence.

Miller also faces charges associated with a sexual assault in Jackson County (Missouri) and is expected to enter a plea there as well.

Miller is free on bond. Sentencing will be in front of Judge Joe McCarville next month.
