The 36-year-old man who was apparently living with a Hutchinson woman and is now accused of molesting her 10-year-old daughter made a first court appearance Wednesday morning where he was read the formal complaint against him.

Henry Davidson was booked into the Reno County Jail Tuesday afternoon and faces charges of rape, aggravated indecent liberties with a child and aggravated criminal sodomy.

The sexual abuse is alleged to have been going on for some time according to Hutchinson Police Detective Scott Carlton, in a time range of August of 2006 through part of this year.

Police got involved in the case back in September after the apparent victim told a friend of the abuse and that led to her mother finding out and the investigation beginning.

Carlton says they did a search of the home and were able to seize the suspects cell phone which he says brought them some evidence in the case.

His bond remains at 250-thousand dollars and the case will now be placed on a waiver-status docket.
