HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The 19-year-old Hutchinson man arrested Tuesday evening on some serious charges was in court Thursday morning where he was told of the potential charges.

Frederick Lemens Jr., is jailed on suspicion of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, criminal restraint and no drivers license.

The victim, 18-year-old Jason Harden alleges that Lemens and two other men robbed him during the altercation, but apparently Lemens was the only one arrested in association with the actual robbery.

However, 19-year-old Majesty Wade was arrested at the residence for possession of synthetic marijuana. He is free on bond and also appeared in court Thursday morning where he was advised of the possible charge against him.

Lemens is jailed with a bond of $40,600 and his request for reduction was denied by Judge Tim Chambers who was sitting in for Magistrate Judge Randy McEwen.

He’ll be back in court next Tuesday where Judge Chambers said the state should have formal charges filed.
