HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A 31-year-old man arrested  in February for distribution of methamphetamine was bound over for trial after a preliminary hearing Monday.

Darin Ferris allegedly sold the drugs at a home on East Ninth. Officers then followed Ferris to a home on North Pleasant where they found money used in the drug buy, more methamphetamine — around 28.2 grams — and a scale.

District Judge Joe McCarville agreed to allow the state to make the charge a level one drug felony. If convicted, Ferris could face more time in prison.

He will be arraigned on the charges next Monday.
