He’s been with the Hutchinson Police Department for 20-years, and now Lieutenant Rob McClarty is moving to McPherson to become the new police chief in the town of 15,000.

McClarty currently serves as the Professional Standards lieutenant, a position he’s held since 1991 and is a member of the SWAT Team and the Special Response Unit.

McClarty will take over for current mcPherson Police chief Dennis Shaw who is retiring af
