MCPHERSON, Kan. — Hutchinson and Wichita are not the only cities where raids took place over illegal gaming machines.

The McPherson Police Department says Yogi’s Vape Store on McPherson’s Main Street had two illegal gaming machines. Authorities executed a search warrant and seized both machines.

The machines were owned by a company out of Wichita and have been a part of an ongoing investigation by the Kansas Gaming Commission, the Wichita Police Department, and the Hutchinson Police Department.

McPherson police officers later discovered illegal Phone Card Sweepstakes gaming machines at four locations in McPherson. That included City Limits Bar, Hank’s Place, the VFW, American Legion, and the office occupied by the machines’ owner.

Officers executed search warrants at those locations and seized 12 additional illegal gaming machines.

The investigation is ongoing with the Kansas Gaming Commission.
