MCPHERSON – Two people were taken to a hospital in McPherson after a one vehicle accident on K-61 at the junction with I-135.

A vehicle driven by 47-year-old Christopher Anderson of Lawrence was eastbound on K-61 and attempting to turn onto the entry ramp to northbound I-135 when he failed to make the sharp turn and went into the ditch.

Anderson was not injured, but his two passengers, 75-year-old Thomas Taylor, and 13-year-old John Anderson were both taken to Memorial Hospital in McPherson with possible injuries.

The accident occurring just before 5:30 p-m, two miles south of McPherson.
