MCPHERSON COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 6 a.m. Tuesday in McPherson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2015 Chevy Cruze driven by John Lallement, 19, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 135 merging from Kansas 61. The Cruze rear-ended a 2011 Chevy Malibu driven by Judy Roberson, 36, McPherson.

Roberson was transported to the hospital in McPherson. Lallement and a passenger in the Cruze were not injured.

The occupants of the Cruze were properly restrained at the time of the accident. The KHP did not report Roberson’s seat belt usage.
