Revenue for the midway at the Kansas State Fair fell by about 7.8% from last years record take. But the final total of 1-million 159-thousand dollars was the third highest gross since 2000 and the 4th highest ever according to figures released by General Manager Denny Stoecklein.
Though it seemed fewer fair goers were playing the carnival games and such, the shear number of visitors, especially on the weekends, gave the fair another great showing. Final attendance figures wont be known for a few weeks yet.
