OLATHE – Police in Olathe say a 6-year-old boy who was taken by his father has been found safe in the Platte City area. Kalvin Jacob Willis was found in good health.

The KBI earlier in the day Friday said the boy was taken by his father “under duress.” The father, Aaron Willis, is alleged to have taken his son after a fight with his girlfriend.

Authorities said before Willis left, he made several comments regarding possibly harming himself
