HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to 820 Keast Drive for the report of a structure fire.

Arriving units found a mobile home with heavy fire and black smoke pushing from the structure. Fire crews performed an aggressive attack to keep the fire from spreading. They were able to contain the fire to the area of origin, however, extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the structure were noted.

The mobile home was vacant at the time of the fire. The fire was called into the dispatch center by an alert neighbor. The mobile home was in the process of renovation. No one was working at the time of the incident.

Hutchinson fire investigators continue to search for the cause of the fire. No injuries were noted.

The fire was reported around 8:50 p.m.
