HAVEN, Kan. – More discussion and possible action on several cost saving measures will be a part of tonight’s
Haven USD 312 School Board meeting.
After narrowly approving the closing of the elementary school in Mount Hope, the board will discuss and take possible action on moving 7th and 8th grade students form both Partridge and Yoder Elementary schools to Haven Middle School. The proposal also calls for the possible closing of Yoder Grade School. The closing or moving of students is part of a continued effort to streamline the budget for USD 312.
Also tonight, the board will discuss and take action on the proposal to raise text book and lunch fees in the district, and review the revised school calendar for the next year. The board will also take action on the resignation of Athletic Director and HHS Assistant Principal Mike Self.
Tonight’s meeting of the Haven School Board begins at 6 p.m. at the Haven High School auditorium.
