GREAT BEND – While more motions have been filed in the capital murder case against a 37-year-old Great Bend man, a tentative date for the next hearing has been set by Barton County District Judge Hannelore Kitts. She has set the hearing for February 8, 2012.
Adam Longoria is accused in the death of 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt, the Great Bend girl allegedly murdered with her burned remains discovered at an asphalt plant where Longoria worked. That was in August of last year.
Although Longoria is charged with capital murder, the state has already indicated they will not seek the death penalty. That means if he’s convicted, he would receive life in prison with no chance for parole.
