National Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony Friday

The Reno County Sheriff’s Office and Hutchinson Police will hold a special tribute to honor law enforcement and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Reno County and abroad. The ceremony will be on Friday, at 9:30 a-m, in front of the Law Enforcement Center in Hutchinson.

Opening statements will be given by Sheriff Randy Henderson, followed by the invocation by Pastor Willard Stafford, who is with Reno County Chaplain Service.

The Key Note Speaker will Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter, and recognition of fallen officers will be given by Hutchinson Police Officer Lorenzo Bohringer.

“Taps” will be done by Jeff Pelischek, Hutchinson Community College Director of Bands and accompanied with the flag by the Reno County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

At 11:30 a-m, hamburgers will be provided by Reno County Crime Stoppers and Civitan Club for all Law Enforcement and support personnel.

In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in Division 3 courtroom.
