Nebraska man arrested for residential break-in formally charged

RENO COUNTY — A 38-year-old Nebraska man arrested on Nov. 26 for entering an occupied home in the county has been formally charged.

The resident, whose home is located in the 4400 block of Victory Road, says he woke up and heard a noise. He found the intruder, identified by sheriff’s officials as Nicholas Holder, in his living room. The resident grabbed his shotgun and ordered Holder off the property at gunpoint. The Reno County Sheriff’s Office set up a perimeter and located Holder walking near his pickup.

Holder is charged with aggravated burglary, criminal possession of a weapon — that being brass knuckles — possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

With formal charges filed, his case moves to a waiver-status docket.
