Ashley Maready is the new curator for the Reno County Museum and Strataca. As curator, she is responsible for all artifacts at both locations. “I’m really excited about using my energy and creativity to benefit both of these amazing institutions,” says Maready.

Maready comes to Hutchinson from Little Rock, where she served as the Director of Collections Management and Conservation for the Wilson History and Research Center, a military history research foundation and collective. She has a BA in history and philosophy from Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, and an MA in applied history from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

As curator, Maready is responsible for preservation and cataloging of all artifacts at the two facilities. “We can already tell that Ashley is going to be a great addition to our team AND she loves being underground which is very important,” says Linda Schmitt, Executive Director of the Reno County Historical Society.

The Reno County Historical Society oversees both Strataca and the Reno County Museum.
